According to the UN, if the 260 million out of school crisis is not address, by 2030 the number could grow to 400 million. Our approach is to reduce to the causes of why children are not in school, which include, gender inequality, lack of access to educational materials, discrimination and hatred that cause families to leave their country, the poverty line that creates child labor, and the selling of children to human traffickers. What did Xi have to offer?

Through my fours years of working experience with a wide range of community agencies that aimed to develop mutual benefits to different stakeholders, I have found myself have strong passion to leverage my skill sets to advance the field of non-profit organizations to achieve their missions and goals. Two years ago, I co-designed and co-facilitated a community-engaged learning course that helped a tutoring center to draft several grant proposals through the collaborative partnership with a English professor at Mississippi State University, and this course will be offered every academic year to the shared benefit of both students and community agencies. Throughout my several years of working with the Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement (SLCE) at Mississippi State University, I have worked closely and directly with faculty members and student leaders from a wide range of disciplines to develop, implement and assess community-engaged learning, research and service related projects and courses. As a PhD candidate in the field of Educational Psychology, I have solid knowledge base on research design and methodology. My formal training in the social science field provided me ample experience in conducting literature reviews and drafting research proposals.
