Brett helped NEW JERSEY PARENTS CAUCUS, INC. set up an accounting software to support their budgeting and reporting needs.

Why is this project important?

The project is important as we will be adding salary to our accounting practices for the new year. Currently we are 100% volunteer organization and will move to adding two salaried positions.

This project will save us $5,409, allowing us to Continue to identify grant opportunities to support the training, education advocacy and social justice work that we're doing for parents raising children with mental health challenges.

What did Brett have to offer?

I have a Masters of Accounting degree and many years of bookkeeping experience for non-profits. I'm experienced in unwinding neglected financials, process evaluation, and implementing and keeping up with proper bookkeeping practices.

I'm looking to help organizations that have a strong board and altruistic mission, but lack accounting and bookkeeping experience.

NJPC is a statewide coalition of family members and impacted youth whose mission is to ensure that every family who has children with special emotional and behavioral needs is given an opportunity to play a strong and active role in the conceptualization, development and delivery of effective and timely services for their children within the mental health, juvenile justice and child welfare systems.
