Currently Working on a Project

Born in Queens, NY and having grown up in NJ, I moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 2005. By the end of the year I purchased my first house, and now I am here to stay! I only wish I had moved here years ago :)

I worked in IT for 14 years, starting out as a technical analyst, and had moved from Network Admin/Engineer, to Senior Engineer, to eventually a Project Coordinators position. In 2004 I hurt my back, and could no longer do heavy lifting of equipment, and with the passing of my Mom, I moved to Chapel Hill, NC.

Having worked in Corporate much of my life (while still helping with many non-profit volunteer jobs), I decided I wanted to use all my efforts for the non-profit world. After a number of non-profit volunteer gigs, I found Piedmont Health in Carrboro, NC. They are a community health center with 6 centers and a SeniorCare (PACE) center. I volunteered with them for 2 years before they hired me as a permanent contractor, and I worked for them for six years as in their Marketing departments, doing everything from graphic design (print & digital), web design, all of their video production and social media management, as well as special marketing projects.

I now am a consultant doing technical marketing work as a visual designer (graphic design, web design, social media, videography, photography, marketing materials (bi-folds/tri-folds, flyers, brochures, logos, email campaigns, etc ...).

I get a tremendous joy in helping non-profits as they help communities in so many ways. Now I can continue to give back.
