What we need

  • Analysis of the existing programs and any future plans
  • Strategic consultation surrounding the existing functions and the core needs the Organization seeks to address
  • Freshly written mission, vision & values statements
What we have in place
  • we have a brand and well known logo. but we need better consistent messaging.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to bring more people to support our work. We also have concerns about funding and what the new administration will cut.

We are celebrating our centennial we have a well known brand but no one knows what we do. A partner indicated that we needed to have a more compelling pitch.

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss prep materials, the current vision, and future plans
  • Professional creates an outline for the mission, vision & values and incorporates any feedback from the Volunteer Manager

  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback which the Professional incorporates

Our mission

Our Mission is to assist African-Americans and other disadvantaged urban residents in the achievement of social and economic equality. The Urban League of Essex County implements it mission through program services, bridge building and advocacy.

What we do

Since our founding in 1917 the League has put countless numbers of individuals and families on the path to economic opportunity, social equality and the achievement of their dreams. Each year, we help thousands of individuals and their families through quality programs in early childhood education, youth development, employment services, housing and neighborhood revitalization.
