Storytelling
Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
What we have in place
- Our website provides a lot of information about our work (www.njhealthmatters.org). We also have a new video, a partner newsletter, and a Twitter account. We have a marketing brochure, infographic and some other communication materials that should be helpful in introducing you to the NJHC. Finally, some of our founding partners would be happy to talk with you about the value of their participation in the collaborative.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to put the dollars saved toward working together across sectors to create healthier communities and opportunities for health and well-being.
We are looking to share our stories of success with our multi-sector partners and the community at large to demonstrate our collective impact as an organization. This spring we plan to release our first annual report. We want to use this storytelling project to celebrate our successes and plan for the future. Storytelling will help us communicate the value the collaborative can bring to potential funding partners, a key component for sustainability.
Project plan
Our mission
Building capacity to improve community health.
What we do
The North Jersey Health Collaborative (NJHC) is a multi-sector partnership of more than 100 organizations working together to create meaningful and sustainable change in the health of our communities in Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren Counties of Northern New Jersey.
The core functions of the NJHC are community health assessment; prioritization and planning; and development, implementation and evaluation of shared action plans. We are a data driven organization that is collecting and sharing data to inform our work via our website www.njhealthmatters.org.
Testimonials
This was our first project with Catchafire and the project took more time than we anticipated. Colin was flexible and motivated to help us reach our end goal. Colin's interviewing and writing skills were a real asset to our storytelling project. It was a pleasure working with Colin on this project.
