Board Recruitment Strategy
Board Recruitment Strategy
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
- Outline of ideal board structure and opportunities for new roles
- Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members
- Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
- Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional
What we have in place
- We currently have energized staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a strong board chair, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,395 , allowing us to preserve this remarkable historical site.
We have gone through implementing board best practices, including introducing term limits, which has most the board leaving in the next three years which is creating a talent vacuum.
There is not an institutional culture of board recruiting and nominating has been a scatter-shot effort. A solid plan would help focus the efforts and create a balanced leadership force.
Project plan
Our mission
To preserve the National Historic Landmark known as Morven by operating it as a museum and public garden that educates diverse audiences and showcases its rich history and the cultural heritage of New Jersey.
What we do
In a historic house built by a signer of the Declaration of Independence and later the home of Robert Wood Johnson and subsequently serving as the Governor's Mansion for five governors, Morven celebrates in its galleries both the remarkable history of the site in a permanent exhibition as well as the cultural heritage of all of New Jersey through changing exhibitions and programs.
