What we'd like to talk about
Develop a framework for mentoring college students who are volunteering their time to coach middle schoolers in Science/Technology/Engineering and Math
Additional context
JerseySTEM promotes STEM Education. We recruit volunteer active Science and Engineering college students to teach middle schoolers 2 hours/week for 10 weeks in exchange of career/college mentoring by active corporate professionals (engineers, scientists) . We need to formalize the mentoring program, train mentors and mentees and establish a review process.
"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math ("STEM") education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities
We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities.
Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online afterschool projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.
What we do
Reduce the gender gap in STEM participation;
Bridge the innovation gap in STEM education by introducing novel formats for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math;
Address the opportunity gap by expanding access to STEM programs in underserved communities.
