Board Recruitment Strategy
Board Recruitment Strategy
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
- Outline of ideal board structure and opportunities for new roles
- Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members
- Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
- Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional
What we have in place
- We currently have a board of directors/executives, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a functioning organziation, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,395 , allowing us to dedicate resources to programs and students.
JerseySTEM is an AVO2 (All volunteer all virtual organization) promoting STEM education to underserved middle school girls.
In addition to our volunteer coaches recruited from local universities, Our current governance is as follows:
- A team of volunteer Managers (Executive committee) who manage the work and run departments (Executive committee). They volunteer 4-10 hours/week and each manager 5-6 volunteers.
- A Board of Directors whose mission is NOT fundraising, but to provide oversight of the executive team
They volunteer 4 hours/month
We are considering adding a board of Trustees focused on Development/Fundraising as a principal mission.
