Project details

What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

clearly outlined retirement policies

What we have in place
  • We currently have manuals and existing policies, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff able to work with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,380 , allowing us to train 2 volunteers to teach Basics - an education program designed to help parents understand and support their child with mental illness and behavioral challenges (2 classes/year=40+parents/year).

We are a small nonprofit in NJ, dedicated to supporting families and individuals affected by mental illness. We cover the entire State of NJ - with a small dedicated group of people!

This project is important to tighten internal operations so we can focus on the important work - the community work of families and individuals. Unclear policies, conflicting manuals and individual interpretation can get in the way of doing successful work. A clear, cohesive handbook with clear expectations of both employer and employee will help improve internal communication and overall effectiveness.

Thank you!

I greatly enjoyed working with NAMI NJ. I found the organization to be very collaborative throughout the project and would welcome the opportunity to work with them again.
