Project details

What we need
  • Written copy for an email fundraising series (up to four emails), or significant edits to an existing campaign
  • Directions on how to send the campaign in an established email marketing service, such as: Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Training on how to successfully update, send, and monitor the campaign
What we have in place
  • We currently have a draft for a GoFundMe page, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a facebook page, with about 100 likes. We can also provide additional contacts, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,140 , allowing us to design a fundraising campaign. Our rental assistance program currently provides 89 persons with safe, decent housing opportunities; while they transition to permanent housing.

We are federally funded and facing a significant cut, not caused at the federal level, rather local community development does not see the need for long term housing assistance payments. Our clients are unable to work, they have HIV/AIDS and without our financial assistance, they will face homelessness. We need your help to keep families housed.

Our mission

The mission of the Hudson County Housing Resource Center is to prevent homelessness, protect, maintain, and increase the affordable housing stock in Hudson County.

What we do

Since 1991, HRC has prevented homelessness by providing direct services to low-income Hudson County residents.

HRC owns and manages a small affordable housing project in West New York. HRC also supports low-income, disabled clients and their families with tenant-based rental assistance, and provides HUD-approved rental housing counseling to low income Hudson County residents.
