Project details

What we need
  • Analysis of the Organization’s current needs, long-term goals, programs, competitive standing and resources
  • Recommendations for an appropriate course of action to reach the desired objectives, including allocation of resources and how to measure success
  • Plan outlining the resources and steps required to reach short- and long-term goals
Additional details

We have mission, vision, values, organizational goals, and 3 years of programs and measurements for each program. However, we reached a brick wall as many of our programs overlap a few goal areas. We need a better format to help us present and someone to tell us where the holes are instead of our funder which we are scheduled to meet to share our plan with in about a month. Who can help us look great but have a plan we can put to use!

What we have in place
  • We currently have a board created document which would be the backbone of the, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an Executive Director who is hungry for this tool, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $12,550 , allowing us to hire six interns we could train and place with our members.

We always see opportunities to help our members but have a very small capacity with a staff of two. We want to make sure we are using that capacity in a way that best serves our members and the guidance of a plan would help us figure out what is critical and what is noise.

Our mission

SJCA's mission is to strengthen South Jersey's cultural community by connecting them to information, resources, and each other. SJCA envisions a region where individuals of all ages and backgrounds are engaged and enriched through arts, history, and culture, and where communities prosper through a creative economy.

What we do

SJCA extends membership benefits to all arts, culture, history, cultural community groups, and independent artists in each of the state's southern eight counties (Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem). We are striving to represent the full spectrum of arts, culture, and history in our region and work towards a more equitable and inclusive South Jersey cultural community.

Testimonials

Joell gave us everything we needed and knew the steps to take to get ready for strategic planning. We went from thinking we were going to do the whole plan on our own to hiring a consultant. We used him to help us know what to look for in a consultant. He rolled with our changes and was always prepared.

Strategic Plan Project

It was a pleasure working with the SJCA team. I look forward to seeing how SJCA continues to invest in transforming the cultural landscape of South Jersey in the coming years.
