Project details

What we need
  • Tightly-written web copy of up to to eight pages of 200-300 words each
  • The opportunity to work closely with an experienced, SEO literate copywriter
What we have in place
  • We currently have pages with existing copy and a message we want to share., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have time, volunteers, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,073 , allowing us to provide more children a safe haven and more parents the time needed to establish and maintain a stable home where their children can thrive.

The web copy that we have now helped us in the beginning just let people know who and what we were about but it mostly was looked at by people familiar to us or who came to events. Now that we will begin our mission we need to expand our reach and also reach out to those we will be serving not just those who will donate or come to events.

Our mission

Mission

Pinwheel Place will provide a safe place for children in crisis. We will provide residential care and coordinate medical and/or psychological services according to the needs of the child. We will service primarily children from birth to five years old.

What we do

Pinwheel Place will provide a safe haven for children in crisis. We will provide residential care and coordinate medical and psychological services according to the needs of the child. We will service children from birth to five years of age who are referred from local agencies or by their parents. Most groups working with those in crisis realize that the devastation resulting from these factors impacts individuals, families and often whole communities for generations. Food insecurity, homelessness, inability to access health services and threats of emotional trauma are moment to moment concerns. If we are to help children deal with these issues we need to know that any kind of development will not happen while you are still in crisis, so for any intervention to be effective it has to address safety and well being first. The children will come to us because they are not safe, so first and foremost we will be a crisis shelter for children at risk. A plan of service will be developed for both the child and the parents. We will work with local agencies to provide services for the parents so they can reduce the risk factors that could cause the abuse and neglect in the future. The children will stay as long as needed.
