What we'd like to talk about

I'd like strategic advice on best practices for using Mailchimp (and its data) to promote community programs and events, to inform alumni and donors about events, and for internal communication news.

Additional context

Georgian Court University's marketing offices has a Mailchimp account with users in various departments across campus. Student Affairs uses the tool to target student leadership organizations; Special Events & Conferences uses it to reach their core audience of about 1200 people who have attended community programs (see http://georgian.edu/wp-content/uploads/Mosaic.pdf) in the past; and the marketing office is beginning to use the tool to drive readers to the university's internal news site (inside.georgian.edu). How can we maximize Mailchimp, and what data should we be paying attention to?

"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

Our mission

GCU, founded by the Sisters of Mercy of New Jersey in 1908, provides comprehensive liberal arts education in the Roman Catholic tradition. The university has a special concern for women and is a dynamic community committed to the core values of respect, integrity, justice, compassion, and service, locally and globally.

GCU provides students with:

a curriculum broad enough to be truly liberal, yet specialized enough to support further study and future careers;
an environment for the entire university community to grow through shared educational, cultural, social, and spiritual experiences;
and the will to translate concern for social justice into action.

What we do

Georgian Court University expands possibility for its students, alumni and the communities they serve.
