Hiring Strategy
Project details
What we need
- Recommendations on active and passive recruiting and proper channels to pursue candidates
- Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
- Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
- Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title
Additional details
We run two Group Homes and we are constantly understaff for the direct care worker positions. This is driving up our overtime and making it difficult for workers to take vacations as we are so understaffed. We need strategies to find people to fill these positions.
What we have in place
- We currently have a Job Description for the position, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a list of places we currently post, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,836 , allowing us to provide more services to our youth to assist them in becoming well and self-sufficient
The staffing of the Group Homes is essential in order for the agency to run efficiently. We are especially looking for part-time staff and being understaffed causes a huge financial impact on our budget due to overtime and has an emotional toll on our staff.

Testimonials
Graham was fantastic to work with and really helped us improve our hiring strategy.
We had such a blast working with Lori and the LifeTies team! Our initial hypothesis on the job posting rewrite lead us to an opportunity to really improve the candidate application process. We now has a system in place that's free, and able to scale as LifeTies continues to grow!
