Project details

What we need
  • Inventory and assessment of Organization's existing website content
  • Recommendations of new content according to communication goals
  • Note: This project does not include feedback on a website's layout and design. For support in that area, please check out our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details

I am specifically interested in the section of our website related to the Scout Camp & facilities. I would like a comprehensive review of both the existing content, as well as the flow of the site itself. For example, if you don't know what camp has to offer, it's very difficult to sign up for services.
The end result of the project would be a better flow & content vehicle. I would also like something that I can adapt into a "printable brochure" or similar leave behind piece.

What we have in place
  • We currently have 2 Staff Members & administrative support, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have volunteer support to help provide & update content, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,052 , allowing us to spend those resources towards programming needs of Jersey Shore Council, and providing direct support to families that otherwise might not be able to participate (e.g. free uniform or camp scholarship

The Citta Scout Reservation is more than a campground; it serves as an outdoor educational resource for 3,500 scout families, as well as the community at large. However we are not utilizing camp to its best effect, as we are not communicating the wide range of resources available in a clear & efficient manner. We need professional marketing advice & support to help us take this facility to the next level!

Our mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

What we do

The Boy Scouts of America was created in 1910, and has been active in New Jersey since that time. The Jersey Shore Council was formed in 1992 with the merger of the Ocean County and Atlantic Area Councils. The service area includes all those two counties plus southeastern Burlington County and Ocean City. More than 5,500 youth were served in 2016 throughout our service area. It is among the largest youth serving organizations in the state of New Jersey led by approximately 1,750 volunteers. More than 100 community organizations, representing educational, religious, non-profit, civic, and business organizations join in partnership with Jersey Shore Council by chartering 175 Scouting units (packs, troops, teams, crews, posts and groups). From Cub Scouting, with thrilling outdoor programs such camping, and other outdoor adventures - on to Boy Scouts and Venturers, with camporees, summer camps, Scouting shows, and national jamborees - families can enjoy building a lifetime of experiences unmatched by other organizations. This experience can lead to The Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national camping honor society to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout, extending their participation from teen years well on into adulthood.
