What we'd like to talk about
I'd like strategic advice on gaining publicity of our cause leading into our February Awareness month, and develop a plan to distribute our health-related resources in news, blogs, and other outlets.
Additional context
We have patient resources to share for their personal health knowledge, and also educational resources for physicians to become knowledgeable of the disorder, that we would like shared on a wider basis.
"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.
Our mission
The goal of the Turner Syndrome Foundation (TSF) is to support research initiatives and facilitate education programs that increase professional awareness and enhance medical care of those affected by Turner syndrome. Early diagnosis and comprehensive treatments over the lifespan may lead to a brighter and healthier future for all young girls and women with Turner syndrome.
Testimonials
Megan was very helpful and her experience provided good examples to better understand strategies we might consider. She offered several ideas for overcoming the challenges we have been facing, and gave an interesting perspective to public relations.
I enjoyed speaking with Liz about the Turner Syndrome Foundation. The organization does a lot of great work trying to raise awareness about Turner Syndrome, a genetic mutation that affects only girls. Even though this was Liz's first call, she was very organized and we were able to key into several areas to discuss to help increase engagement surrounding the Foundations upcoming awareness month. Overall it was a great call and I hope that their event goes well.
