  • Feedback on the current website’s layout, user functionality, mobile-friendliness, visual design, content, and other key features
  • Clear articulation of the Organization’s goals for the website
  • Recommendations for improvements to help achieve the Organization’s desired goals
  • Note: If you are looking for a more specific, in-depth audit of your website's design and usability, try our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details

recommendations on easy to use platforms, like wordpress or squarespace.

What we have in place
  • We currently have enthusiast staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a functional website, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,566 , allowing us to dedicate funds to the creation of a new website.

Built in 1758 but opened as a museum in 2004, we are a really old start up. We are getting ready to reinterpret our permanent collection as well as open a new education building and would like a website that reflects our new take on our dual mission of interpreting the site and hosting changing exhibitions. The current website reflects the "old" way of looking at the story and we need to refresh the whole thing. Your audit will be incorporated into our agreement with a web designed for a new site to be launched in spring 2018.

Our mission

To preserve the National Historic Landmark known as Morven by operating it as a museum and public garden that educates diverse audiences and showcases its rich history and the cultural heritage of New Jersey.

What we do

In a historic house built by a signer of the Declaration of Independence and later the home of Robert Wood Johnson and subsequently serving as the Governor's Mansion for five governors, Morven celebrates in its galleries both the remarkable history of the site in a permanent exhibition as well as the cultural heritage of all of New Jersey through changing exhibitions and programs.

Testimonials

Janene was awesome! Fast, but covered everything we needed her to. She also gave us great advice to move forward in planning a new web site. She provided examples of other sites, platforms, and options. A great experience!

Website Audit Project

This was a fairly simple web audit, but I really enjoyed working with the Morven Museum staff and learning more about their organization. Would definitely volunteer my time again if they needed the help!
