What we'd like to talk about
JerseySTEM enlists dozens of college students attending engineering schols as volunteers to coach middle schoolers in STEM classes. We need to organize a mentorship progrom for the college students
Additional context
For our Citizen Educators program, college students commit to 2 hours / week of coaching underserved kids in STEM topics.
Part of the benefits of being associated with the JerseySTEM Citizen Educators program. is to receive mentorship form active professionals from local corporations. We need to formalize the mentorship program.
"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math ("STEM") education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities
We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities.
Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online afterschool projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.
What we do
Reduce the gender gap in STEM participation;
Bridge the innovation gap in STEM education by introducing novel formats for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math;
Address the opportunity gap by expanding access to STEM programs in underserved communities.
