Our mission

CASA of Middlesex County is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving abused and neglected children who are living in out-of-home placements. CASA recruits and trains volunteers to advise the courts and advocate for the children's best interests.

What we do

Thank you for your interest in CASA of Middlesex County! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to standing up for the needs of children living in foster care. We advocate for kids through the hard work of volunteers who are assigned to a child or sibling group.

Volunteers are trained extensively and are provided with guidance throughout their volunteer service. The volunteers get to know the children, investigate their circumstances, and report back to the judge about what the kids need. CASA volunteers in Middlesex County have helped children receive the therapeutic services they need to overcome their adverse circumstances and medical attention that would have otherwise been overlooked; they have recommended services for parents to complete so families can be reunified quickly and permanently. CASA volunteers have also helped children living in long-term foster care placements find permanent homes, saving the children years of instability, and the government countless dollars.

Children with a CASA volunteer spend on average 7.5 months less in foster care than their peers who don't have a CASA. They also have improved educational performance and are less likely to return to foster care once they leave it.
