Project details

What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details

We are looking to update and redesign the current map of our Scout camp reservation. As we keep improving our camp, we will need to be able to update and add new areas to this new map.

What we have in place
  • We currently have current map of location, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have 2 staff members, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to provide more programming at camp

Over the years, the map of our Scout reservation has been copied so many times that it is very hard to see. Also, the camp has changed since the creation of the original map and we need to reflect all the new programs and areas we have added. With this new map, it will help our Scouts find the locations as well as give a peace of mind to parents knowing what the camp looks like and its layout. It's time to modernize and make our map beautiful!

Our mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

What we do

The Boy Scouts of America was created in 1910, and has been active in New Jersey since that time. The Jersey Shore Council was formed in 1992 with the merger of the Ocean County and Atlantic Area Councils. The service area includes all those two counties plus southeastern Burlington County and Ocean City. More than 5,500 youth were served in 2016 throughout our service area. It is among the largest youth serving organizations in the state of New Jersey led by approximately 1,750 volunteers. More than 100 community organizations, representing educational, religious, non-profit, civic, and business organizations join in partnership with Jersey Shore Council by chartering 175 Scouting units (packs, troops, teams, crews, posts and groups). From Cub Scouting, with thrilling outdoor programs such camping, and other outdoor adventures - on to Boy Scouts and Venturers, with camporees, summer camps, Scouting shows, and national jamborees - families can enjoy building a lifetime of experiences unmatched by other organizations. This experience can lead to The Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national camping honor society to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout, extending their participation from teen years well on into adulthood.

Testimonials

Miranda was awesome! There were a lot of cooks in the kitchen and there was a lot of back and forth. But, Miranda was able to take all that feedback and create a map of our camp that we DESPERATELY needed!
